How You Can Use A Room Divider

You may have a large basement or multipurpose room that could benefit from the use of a portable room divider. These moveable walls can make activity centers for any of the many interests, hobbies, and educational pursuits of your family. You just put them up and you can section off parts of your large area for individual tasks.

• Scouts. Many parents sponsor scout gatherings in their homes. Maybe the boy scouts or girl scouts will work on a merit badge, for instance. By using portable room dividers, you can make separate areas for different phases of the process of the badge they are working on.

• Home school. If you home school your kids, you could use the divider in your multipurpose room to make space for different subjects. You could have a temporary room for science projects, and one to be used as a computer lab.

• Sewing. You can partition off a section of your basement to be used as your sewing room. If you do not have a separate sewing room, the divider can make you one. Then, you can make your sewing area larger or smaller depending upon the size of your projects.

• Daycare. They are handy for people who do daycare in their homes. These childcare providers may have a certain number of children one week and more or less the next. If you have this problem, you can change the division of playrooms according to age appropriate activities for the numbers you have.

• Home office. There may be a time when your home office is no more than a space in your basement. To get a little privacy, you can put up walls. You could even put up two portable rooms – one for your clerical activities and one to meet clients.

• Garage sales. It is nice for a large family to buy a set of them. If they share them around the family, each member will have them to use if they need them for activities like garage sales. You could set up a booth for each member of the family selling items at the sale.

• Church meetings. Youth groups may meet in the homes of church members. With the use of these dividers, you can set aside a space for the young people to have some privacy for their religious meetings. Then, when they are ready for recreation, you can fold them up and open the basement up for ping-pong and other games.
